Mr. Pustra

Mr Pustra, Vaudeville’s Darkest Muse is a character drawn on the stylings of Weimar culture and performers of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Other influences such as Circus Sideshows, singer Klaus Nomi, German Expressionism, and artist Otto Dix feature in some of his work. A visually compelling and often tragic character, Mr Pustra’s ability to transform is both fascinating and creatively liberating and the ‘Weimar Berlin look’ has always featured strongly in his shows, styling and illustrations.
